Thomas was born about 1835 in Dundonald, Ayrshire, the son of Robert McCreath and Barbara Jamieson.
He died on 30 APR 1883 in Old Cathcart.
He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Margaret Laidlaw, who he married on 16 NOV 1860 in Glasgow. Their eight known children were Robert (1861-1897), John (1863-1863), Alice (1864-1868), Barbara (1866-1868), Margaret Laidla (1869-1934), Thoma (1872-1920), Isabella Christina Matthew (1875-1950) and Jame (1878-1938).
His second wife was Matilda Hadden, who he married on 13 SEP 1882 in Old Cathcart. Their only known child was Annie (1882-?).
