David was born on 13 AUG 1815 in Arensow, Kirkmichael, the son of Thomas McCreath and Janet Raeside.
He died on 22 MAR 1860 in Lasswade.
His wife was Agnes Haig, who he married on 30 OCT 1835 in KIlmarnock. Their eight known children were Janet (Jessy) (c1837-?), Jane (c1838-<1848), Catherine (1840-1863), Margaret (c1842-<1855), Agnes (c1844-1867), Jane (1848-1863), David (c1848-1932) and Elizabeth (1850-?).
